The Reverend Doctor Nancy Jo Kemper became the fifth Executive Director of the Kentucky Council of Churches in 1991, after having served as the minister of congregations of the United Church of Christ in locations across the Midwest. A graduate of Transylvania University (1964), and Yale University Divinity School (1967), she was ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 1967. She has held ministerial standing in the United Church of Christ since 1968. Her professional history includes service to the Urban League of Greater Little Rock, Arkansas; associate minister of Edgewood Congregational Church First Church of Christ (UCC) of New Haven, Connecticut; co-pastor of the Richmond (VA) Ecumenical Parish; minister, Pilgrim Congregational Church (UCC) of Oak Park, IL; senior minister, Calvary United Church of Christ of St. Louis, MO; senior minister of Park Congregational Church of Toledo, OH; and she now also serves as the pastor of New Union Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Woodford County, Kentucky, in addition to her work with the KCC. In April 2001 she was named the Humanitarian of the Year by the local chapter of the NCCJ, and in May 2001 she received a doctorate of humanities from Transylvania University.

The Rev. W. Christopher Benham Skidmore began serving the Kentucky Council of Churches in October of 1998. Ordained by The Howard's Mill Southern Baptist Church of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Chris holds standing as a Christian minister. He is currently a member of a church that is affiliated with both the Sounthern Baptist Convention and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Chris is also a member of the Alliance of Baptists, and the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America. Rev. Skidmore received the Master of Divinity degree from Yale University's School of Divinity in May of 1998. A Magna Cum Laude Graduate of Kentucky's Georgetown College (1994), Chris also holds the B.A. degree in religion and communication arts. Chris is the staff liason to the Program Unit on Peacemaking and racism, the Program Unit on Local Economies and the Environment, and other KCC Commissions. He maintains this website, has helped develop the EcuCamp ministry, and has traveled around the state of Kentucky to increase awareness of the Council's ministries. His spouse Amanda Joy Benham Skidmore and he are the parents of Nicholas Alexander Benham Skidmore. Chris and Joy are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington, KY.

Jeanie L. Hartman

Jeanie Hartman aids the Council with a broad knowledge base both in office administration and inter-group communication skills. After several years in the healthcare field she received her associate of arts degree with high distinction from Somerset Community College, Somerset, KY in 1994 and a BA in Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1998. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Chi honor societies. After graduation she was employed at the University of Kentucky Hospital as support staff in neurosurgery prior to joining the staff at the Kentucky Council of Churches. Her own church home is Saint Michael's Episcopal Church in Lexington where she currently is involved in many activities. She has one child, Kristoffer.
