Students who have participated in the EcuCamp experience have repeatedly reported how much their lives have been changed in a positive way. Because it is difficult for students to get a chance to attend a weeklong event that only happens once in a busy summer-- weve decided to bring the EcuCamp experience, on the road, to YOU.
Imagine
a two day retreat in your town, bringing 7th through 12th graders
together from different parts of town, different churches, from
different ethnic backgrounds-- all to focus on being the Church,
together-- in unity. It can happen in your community.
Heres how:
KCC Supplies the
Retreat Leader.
Participating Congregations Supply One Chaperone for Every
Six Participants (7th
through 12th grade).
Chaperones Will also Serve as Small-Group Leaders.
KCC supplies the Entire Experiential Curriculum.
The first Unity Trek will be Held in Lexington from 10am
on Dec. 27 through 8pm on Dec. 28, 2006 (participants will be able to sleep).
Will Your Congregation
Provide the Host Site for Your City?
We
can only do a few of these events each year, so call the Kentucky
Council of Churches office today to make sure we get to
your city when your young people can participate.
This is not just a big
party for playtime only-- there will be time for fun and fellowship,
but it will also involve a very engaging, experiential program
for ecumenical and spiritual formation.
Call Chris at 859-269-7715 or e-mail wcbs@kycouncilofchurches.org
for more information about how your 7th through 12th grade students
in your area can participate in this new retreat opportunity.
